The adventurer’s handbook
Game guide
Build a party, venture into a dungeon, and bring your survivors home. A few basics for your first days in DailyCrawl.
First expedition
- Create an account and name your city. Your starting treasury pays for your first recruits.
- Visit the Tavern to hire heroes. Check their health and cost; you can begin with one living, active hero, or bring up to six.
- Review your heroes in Barracks. Prepare any available spells at the Temple before departure.
- Open Crawl, choose a Tier I crawl, and assign your party’s starting positions. A smaller party is allowed; equipment is optional.
Crawl basics
- One expedition each day
- New accounts start with 10 playable days: the current day plus 9 day credits. Another credit arrives every 4 hours, and unused credits accumulate. Spend one using Days in the top navigation to advance, recover HP, and refresh daily activities. Returning early still uses that day’s expedition.
- Position, then give orders
- Front starts in melee; Close Support and Rear start farther back. Put at most three heroes in each starting position. In battle, choose actions for your heroes, resolve the round, and read the results before your next orders.
- Watch your health
- HP is health; reaching zero can mean a fallen hero. Wounds and spent spells carry through the expedition. Lower AC means better armor defense. XP is experience toward the next level.
- Know when to head home
- Between encounters, weigh continuing against returning with your progress. Escaping during a fight lets enemies take a final turn and can cost lives. Read the confirmation before committing.
The eight classes
Start with heroes you can afford and mix sturdier fighters with more fragile companions.
Back in town
Review your survivors in Barracks and your loot in Items. Visit the Temple to check recovery and revival options. Fallen heroes do not simply return for free; save gold for rebuilding your party.
Recruit replacements at the Tavern when needed. Trading in the Auction House is optional—get your party ready first, then plan your next expedition.
